The data directory
ALMA_DATA_DIR (default ~/.alma; set it, typically to ~/.mandala). The Mac app uses ~/Library/Application Support/Mandala/data. Keep it on a local SSD, owned by Mandala's user, mode 700.

Your own Goethe vaults may live elsewhere (ALMA_GOETHE_JULIEN_ROOT, ALMA_GOETHE_AGENT_ROOTS). Back them up too.
Do not edit files under dharma/ by hand.
