How to
MCP servers
The Model Context Protocol lets services offer tools to AI agents. Mandala connects to remote MCP servers over public HTTPS, and you review each tool before your accomplice may call it.
Add a server
- Settings → Extensions → MCP servers.
- Add a server: a Name, an ID (lowercase letters, digits and
-), and the Endpoint URL. - If it needs a token, turn on Needs a token and paste the Bearer token. It is stored for that exact endpoint; changing the URL needs a new token.
- Set Requests per day.
- Press Discover tools.
Review its tools
Each discovered tool has three settings:
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Off | Your accomplice never sees it. |
| Read | It calls the tool directly. Use for tools that only read. |
| Ask | Each call waits for your approval. |
Save. MCP tools load on demand, like other large families.
Remove
Remove server takes away its tools at once.
