Exchange between businesses
Two Mandalas can exchange signed documents directly: an invoice from a supplier to your company, a delivery proof to a customer. No email, no upload, no portal. Your node checks the signature and decides, from your own records, whether to route the document into your work or hold it for review.
Your exchange key
Each identity your node holds has an exchange key. Settings → Relationships and exchange (acting as that identity) shows it. Give it, with your node's address, to whoever should be able to send you documents.
Recognize a counterpart
Under Recognize a counterpart:
- Name — "Seafrigo".
- Its exchange key — 64 hex characters, from their Settings.
- As — supplier, customer, employer, endorser, introducer or partner.
- Its address — their Mandala's URL.
- Route straight to work — the kinds of document you trust from it, separated by spaces (
invoice delivery_proof).
Then Recognize. End a relationship at any time.
Receiving
| A document… | Happens |
|---|---|
| With a bad signature | Refused before anything is recorded |
| From a recognized counterpart, of a trusted kind | Routed into your work (a structured invoice lands in Payables → Received) |
| Anything else | Waits under To settle for you to Accept or Refuse |
Each document records who sent it and who acted for the sender.
Sending
Send a document: choose the recipient, the Kind (invoice), a Title and the Content, then Sign and send.
Introductions
Introduce tells one counterpart how to reach another. Only they learn of it. Accepting an introduction recognizes whom it introduces, trusted with nothing until you say so.
Not yet
Coming soon — discovering identities through the public network (today addresses are exchanged by hand), proof of who acted for the sender checked by the recipient, and routed documents starting workflows (a supplier invoice going to finance review).
