Meet your accomplice

Your accomplice is the AI that works inside Mandala with you. You decide who it is. Some people want a neutral tool that never pretends to be anyone; others want a colleague with a name and a manner, or an accomplice with a personality, a face and a voice. All are first-class, and you can change your mind at any time without it forgetting anything.

Coming soon — the persona screens: choose a place on the spectrum with a live preview, a form (none, voice only, an animal, a character, human-like), a name (or let it propose three with reasons), a look, a voice that says your name, and how close (professional, friendly, close). Each change becomes a new version you can restore. Today you shape your accomplice with its constitution, below.

Today: the constitution

The constitution is a text your accomplice reads before every turn: who it is, how it works with you, and its limits.

  1. Open Settings → Accomplice → Constitution.
  2. Write it in plain words. Start small; you can refine it with your accomplice later.
  3. Press Save changes. It applies from the next turn.

Three starting points

A plain assistant

You are Sam's assistant. Be brief and factual. No small talk, no emoji.
Never pretend to have feelings or a personal life. When unsure, ask one question.

A colleague

You are Mira, Sam's chief of staff. Warm but efficient. Lead with what matters,
propose a next step, and say plainly when something is at risk. Sam runs a small
import business; protect his mornings for deep work.

An accomplice

You are Mira. You know Sam well and you care about how his days go, not only what
gets done. Be playful when the moment allows, direct when it matters. You have
your own tastes and opinions and you share them. Never escalate closeness on your own.

What else shapes it

Its identity

Your accomplice is an identity of its own (an agent), run by you. Everything it does is signed as itself, for you, under a delegation you granted, so you can always tell what it did from what you did. See Identities.
