How to

Facebook and Instagram

Connect your Facebook Pages and their linked Instagram professional accounts. Personal profiles aren't supported. Every post, reply, hide or deletion asks you first, with the exact text, media and time.

1. Create a Meta app

In Meta for Developers, create an app with Facebook Login and the Page and Instagram permissions. Then in Settings → Facebook & Instagram → Meta app:

  • App ID and App secret;
  • the Facebook Login callback Mandala shows (add this exact address to the app's valid OAuth redirect URIs);
  • a Webhook verify token: a random string of 32+ characters, also pasted in Meta's webhook setup.

2. Connect

Press Connect with Facebook and choose the Pages your accomplice may use. Mandala finds them and their Instagram accounts.

3. Choose what your accomplice may do

Per account (Choose what Alma may do):

SwitchMeaning
Read posts and commentsIt may read them
PublishIt may prepare posts; each asks you
Reply and moderateIt may prepare replies, hides and deletions; each asks you
Follow commentsNew comments on this account's posts wake it

Stories need an Instagram Business account.

Publishing

An approved post becomes a job: text, links, photos, videos, Reels, stories, Instagram carousels. Mandala advances it one step at a time and records every step, so a restart resumes without posting twice; a post whose final step is uncertain is checked, never re-sent. Scheduled posts are followed until they go out, and your accomplice hears the outcome.

Comments

Comments arrive by webhook (needs the tunnel to expose /hooks/meta; see Cloudflare and webhooks) and by a regular sweep of recent posts, so nothing is missed. Your accomplice hears about new comments by others, never about its own replies.

Disconnect

Disconnect forgets every token and blocks queued posts.
