Install the web app on your phone

Mandala is an installable web app. On your phone it gets its own icon and window, opens to where you left it, and receives notifications.

iPhone

1. Make sure Tailscale is connected on the iPhone.
2. Open your Mandala address (https://<machine>.<tailnet>.ts.net) in Safari.
3. Share → Add to Home Screen → Add.
4. Open Mandala from the Home Screen icon.
5. Settings → Accomplice → Notifications → Turn on, and allow notifications. On an iPhone this works only from the Home Screen app.
6. Send a test to check.

Android

Open the address in Chrome, then ⋮ → Install app (or Add to Home screen). Turn on notifications in Settings → Accomplice → Notifications.

Good to know

• Offline, the app opens to its last screen, but shows no data: nothing is cached on the phone.
• The address must be HTTPS for installing and notifications. See Tailscale and HTTPS.
